Properties for sale Cullera

Property for sale in Valencia can offer the best of all worlds - the culture and vibrancy of Valencia City, stunning countryside and a choice of amazing beaches. Property in Cullera is ideally situated to make the very best of this region: just under 40 kilometres south of the city of Valencia; on the edge of the Parque Natural de La Albufera with its wealth of wildlife and outdoor activities; and perfectly positioned on the beautiful Mediterranean coastline.

The town of Cullera is mainly built on a large plain rising to Mount Cullera. The whole area is covered with orange trees, rice paddies, olive groves and many other fruit trees.

Cullera has many Blue Flag beaches including two disability-friendly beaches, San Antonio and Racó. There are lots of things to keep you entertained in Cullera including the Aquópolis water park, the beautiful Botanic gardens, the many eco-paths for nature lovers, cinemas, discos and pubs. The popular area around the port includes the fish market, where that day' catches are auctioned. There is also a Nautical Club which organises all water related sporting activities. For culture lovers, there are museums, libraries and cultural centres. Cullera is littered with monuments, the most notable of which is the Castle of Cullera, which dates from the Moorish occupation of Spain and has a fascinating history reflected in its Moorish and later Christian architecture.

Cullera offers many possibilities to enjoy the traditional dishes of the area. Most of the dishes include rice stewed with meat, chicken or rabbit, with vegetables or fish and shellfish. Also the desserts made from local fruits are a must! Cullera has too many festivals to mention but the Fallas festival is always worth a mention. 'Fallas' (locally made satirical statues) are lit in the different districts of the town on the night of 19th March during the traditional "Cremà" (burning ceremony).

The market place, situated in the historic centre of town, is also well worth a visit - you will find stalls selling all the food produce of the surrounding area. In addition, every Thursday sees the 'Mercat', a typical market with over 40 different stalls, selling a huge range of products.

With townhouses and apartments in Cullera, you can find your ideal Spanish property for sale, whatever your budget.
