For Sue and Paul Mainwaring, being handed the keys to a sparkling new villa made the wait for their off-plan property in the Costa Blanca, bought through HomeEspaña, more than worth it.
The Worcestershire couple completed on their three-bedroom home in Villamartín, on July 1st 2016, a little over a year after choosing a plot and villa design.
“We found the plot back in April 2015,” said Sue. “We liked the modern design of the show home so chose the same as that, then chose our fittings. HomeEspaña paid for our white goods.”
The Mainwarings chose to buy in the Costa Blanca having had numerous holidays there. They have friends who also own there. Their property, which is in the Pau 8 area of Villamartín and cost them €260,000 (excluding fees and taxes), includes lots of outside space, a private pool and solarium. They’ll use it as a second home and hope to spend six months there next year (2017). Their children are likely to enjoy holidays there too.
Added Sue: “From start to finish, HomeEspaña provided a wonderful service. They really looked after us and introduced us to all the necessary people to complete our purchase, even taking us to a furniture shop. Emma in after sales was great, always replying quickly to our emails. The prospect of Brexit never bothered us – if people really want a home in Spain, they should go for it. Fortunately we bought our euros for the purchase last year and got a great exchange rate!”
