Almoradi property sales have increased over recent years as buyers have made the most of relatively low prices, compared to the popular beachside resorts of the Costa Blanca. If you are weighing up villas in Alicante, Spain – Almoradi offers an affordable way of making the dream a reality. Almoradi is a medium sized town of around 17,500 inhabitants, situated on the northern side of the river Segura, in the province of Alicante’s Vega Baja region. Almoradi has proved popular with buyers looking for holiday homes as well as those looking to start a new life in Spain in an authentic Spanish town. Quieter than the busy Costa Blanca resorts, bar Saturdays – when thousands flock to the busy market – Almoradi has a real sense of community. This is particularly apparent during July’s Moros y Cristianos festival when the whole town downs tools and joins in the celebrations. Almoradi boasts an excellent range of places to eat and drink, catering for all palates, plus a good selection of shops, a medical centre and a school.
