Teulada Moraira Property
If you are thinking about buying a property in Costa Blanca then you might like to know that Teulada Moraira is arguably one of the Costa Blanca’s most beautiful areas. Teulada is nestled between the mountains and the sea in the district of La Marina Alta, well known for its beautiful beaches, local wines and, of course, the coastal resort of Moraira.
The original part of Teulada town is located approximately 6 kilometres inland. Olive trees, vineyards, orange and almond plantations and pine trees scatter the surrounding area of this idyllic region. Moraira, with its beautiful beaches and gorgeous coastline, has one of the most important fish markets on the Costa Blanca. All the produce caught by local fishermen is sold at this market. There is also a traditional weekly market that takes place in Teulada selling fresh fruits and vegetables, clothing and textiles and crafts and jewellery, amongst other things.
The coastal strip of Moraira has everything for sea lovers. Its beaches are not over-crowded and all have crystal clear water. The Moraira Club Náutico is one of the main nautical tourist attractions of the Costa and was one of the first in Spain to get the Blue Flag distinction for the cleanest shorelines in Europe.
Unsurprisingly, the local Teulada Moraira diet comprises of wonderfully fresh seafood and the produce from the local fields. As well as the typical Spanish paellas, you can choose from dishes made with local seafood, meat and game. There are more than 100 restaurants in the area, including tapas bars and international restaurants. Teulada is famed for its wine, most notably the white Marina Alta and Moscatel, typically served as a pudding wine.
Many Fiestas take place during the year in Teulada Moraira where feasting, fabulous costumes and fireworks are all part of the spectacle.
Teulada is easy to get to from Alicante or Valencia. By car, take highway A-7 to exit 63 "Benissa/Teulada". You can also take the N332 which takes you within a mile of Teulada. The closest airport is in Alicante 70 kilometres to the south or Valencia airport 110 kilometres to the north. Its port of Moraira is 6 kilometres from the town centre. The Alicante-Dénia railway also stops here. With new developments in Teulada as well as a range of more established properties – particularly apartments and townhouses, you will be spoiled for choice. Your only difficulty will be deciding between homes in Teulada itself or Moraira coastal properties.
